ICC T20 World Cup 2026
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 marks the tenth edition of the prestigious international Twenty20 tournament, bringing together 20 cricketing nations in a fast-paced, short-format competition. The event kicks off on 7 February 2026 and runs through 8 March 2026, giving players and fans nearly a month of nonstop cricketing action.
This year’s World Cup features an initial group stage with four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group progress to the Super 8 stage, which further filters teams into the knockout rounds. The tournament operates across eight stadiums — five in India and three in Sri Lanka — offering a geographic balance that tests teams in varied conditions.
Unlike past editions, this tournament blends emerging teams like the USA, Canada, and Italy with perennial cricketing powerhouses such as India, Australia, and England. This diversity is reflected in the match schedule and group compositions. With high-stakes matches, roaring crowds, and strategic T20 gameplay, this edition promises to be among the most thrilling yet.
Complete Match Schedule
The full ICC T20 World Cup 2026 schedule has been officially released by the ICC, and fans can mark their calendars for every key matchup. The group stage begins on 7 February 2026, featuring clashes such as Pakistan vs Netherlands, West Indies vs Scotland, and India’s opening game against the USA at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Across the next two weeks, each team will contest multiple fixtures within its group, with matches played in venues including Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Sri Lankan grounds in Colombo, Pallekele and Kandy.
After the group stage concludes, the Super 8 stage will feature the top two teams from each group in a round-robin format, leading into the semifinals (4 March & 5 March) and ultimately the final on 8 March. Matches in these later rounds will be hosted primarily in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, and if certain teams like Pakistan progress, Sri Lanka’s R. Premadasa Stadium may host key ties.
